Dice Number Inking Video Tutorial

Greetings,

Just wanted to share with everyone that you can quite easily ink/paint the numbers on the "Crystal" Endless Dice D20s yourself.


All you need are the following:

  • A Pentouch paint marker with a 0.7mm tip. I suggest Gold, Silver, or Black (for Endless Light/Salvation).
  • A bit of turpentine or nail polish removal and a cotton swab for removing any excess paint. (NOTE: as noted by @Kori, alcohol based paint removal has the potential to damage non metal dice, so try with a wet cotton swab first, especially if the paint is wet. I have been using turpentine personally so far with no problems, but only very limited number of times, so my sample size is small.I also use soapy water to wash away the turpentine before repainting.)

Once you have those, you are ready to go!

The Pentouch Paint Marker Pen

A few painting tips:

  • The paint takes about 5 minutes to completely dry, so once you have done a number on one dice, move on to the next dice. Don't paint any new numbers on the same dice until the previously painted number is completely dry.
  • If you accidentally painted any area outside of the number, just wet the cotton swap with turpentine/nail polish removal and wipe away the excess paint.
  • You can also use exactly the same pen to ink the Metal Endless Dice Sets. The method is exactly the same, and it makes a HUGE difference!
